CONCESSIONS

There are Concessions on two sides of CHS' new athletic facilities. Concessions, restrooms and ticket booths are moments from your seats.

In 2014, KTULTV Tulsa reported TULSA CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL might soon be playing/hosting Friday night football games in its own football stadium...for the first time...ever.

True. As of this October..2021...Tulsa Central's football program will have been nomads for over 100 years.

From Skelly Stadium at The University of Tulsa to Lee, now an elementary school, to occasional games on the hallowed turf at crosstown Booker T. High School's SE Williams Stadium, one of the state of Oklahoma's oldest schools...Central...finally settled in, a few years ago, to home field at Webster High School's Marshall Milton Stadium across the Arkansas River.

Fair enough, think Central Athletics and most of us will be able to name exactly two names...a legendary coach, Eddie Sutton, and a magical, legendary player, John Starks,

Basketball.

No one will argue that the century it took to produce D'Angelo Brewer, who, leaving Central, graduated in 2017 as the all-time leading rusher in the history of both The University of Tulsa and the American Athletic Conference, may have correlated to Tulsa's oldest high school never having built its own football stadium/facilities...until now.

Flip the coin, and Central's recent rise in Oklahoma football status is related to the Eli Brown/Kip Shaw era shattering Central's own athletic record books.

When Shaw led the 2020 football team within a game of the State Championship last year, he had taken the school to only its third 3rd Round playoff game is school history. Or, as we put it, the 2020 CHS football team had done the impossible.

Sapulpa, Oklahoma based REED ARCHITECTURE & INTERIORS designed the new stadium that opens a new era in CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL on Friday night, which is also Homecoming for the Central faithful.

Speaking of faithful, the firm's renderings for the new stadium will be indistinguishable from photos that will be taken Friday night..

Fans will, particularly, love several features REED ARCHITECTURE & INTERIORS included that create easier access to concessions, ticketing and restrooms than are often the norm.

The countdown was on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8, 7p at TULSA CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. The new stadium and athletic facelity are off of the 33rd West Avenue side of the school, off of Edison Street.
